The judge's decision on the day in all classes is final.
Any persons wishing to make a complaint must do so ON THE DAY of the incident and in writing accompanied by the sum of £5, to either the Chairman or club secretary before the next committee meeting. The complaint will be put before the committee at it's next meeting and if upheld the £5 will be refunded.
Any competitor arguing or disputing any judge, steward or any other competitor at the ringside or on the showground will by the decision of not less than four of the committee, be debarred from taking part in any further events in the days programme and lose points that day
The committee may expel from membership of the club, any member who has wilfully disobeyed any rules of the club or who has in the opinion of the committee, been guilty of any comments derogatory to the character, or prejudicial to the interests of the club. Provided that before expelling the member, the committee shall hear what the member has to say in his/her defence.
Any persons objecting to the height of a pony must do so in writing along with a fee of £7.50, which will be forfeited if the pony has or gains a J.M.B. or full height certificate. If a person does not wish to produce a certificate they may have their pony measured on the showground by two L.E.C. committee members with the owner present and a neutral witness. If the objection is upheld, any prize won or points gained will be forfeited. The Chairman's decision is final.
Stallions or colts must be adequately bitted and are not allowed on the club field, except when entering their class ring, when their class is over they must immediately be either stabled or returned to their horse box and boxed and kept under strict control at all times. The Handler must be 18yrs of age or over. All Stallions must be in possession of a current breed society license and full insurance, which must be produced on the showground on arrival. Following any incident, they will not be allowed back onto the showground and all awards will be forfeit.
In Equitation points will be awarded to the rider, no spurs to be worn. Snaffle bridle only.
Competitors must be correctly dressed in all classes. Hard hats to the approved BSI standard must be worn with chinstrap fastened at all time in any activity organized by the club.
The excessive use of whips is forbidden. Whips must not exceed 30ins long. The excessive use of spurs is forbidden. Spurs must also be turned down & must not be turned in. No spurs are allowed at all in the jnr & snr novice events.
Any rider 17yrs of age or over on the 1st January of the current year will be classed as a senior and will be under the rules relating to each specified class in their group as per schedule. Any rider under 17yrs on the 1st January of the current year either junior or snr associate will also be governed by the rule relating to the particular class entered as per schedule.
A junior member must be under 17yrs of age as at 1st January of the current year. Juniors are not allowed to wear spurs.
Senior classes are for horses over 14.2hh to be ridden by a senior member or a snr associate over 13yrs of age on the 1st January of the current year.
A rider going into lead rein classes may not enter any class off the lead rein except those listed for each ring as per schedule.
In all lead rein classes the handler must be 16yrs of age or over.
No horse or pony under the age of 4yrs will be permitted to enter any ridden or jumping classes.
The rider or handler of any animal thought to be excessively or unnecessarily abusing the animal will be asked to leave the showground.
Dogs are to remain on a lead at all times. No ball games on the showground.
All jumping classes will be judged as far as possible under BSJA Rules.
Cantering anywhere on the showground, except in the practice rings is prohibited. Any rider found jumping in a ring not in use will be eliminated from classes in which they are competing. No other jumps other than the practice jumps may be used.
In all classes there must be a minimum of two starters for the class to be held, where a member wishes to gain their points they are allowed to stay booked into the class, but only starting points will be allocated, in the case of a Trophy show no Trophy will be awarded, otherwise the class will be cancelled and entry fees refunded.
Entry fees will not be refunded other than for rule 20. Booking in.
As all classes follow on, if there is a clash it is the competitor's responsibility to decide the class in which to compete. No refund will be given for missed classes.
A fall of horse/pony or rider in any class is automatic disqualification.
Any objections to points awarded must be made before the end of the following show. The points will be displayed at every show.
Competitors may only accrue points with the same combination of rider and mount throughout the season, this also applies to in hand classes & young handler classes (All handlers must be members) The horse/pony name must remain the same throughout the season. Any changes must be notified to the secretary.
To be eligible for end of season trophies a member must have gained at least 10pts & MUST HAVE ATTENDED AT LEAST 5 SHOWS, WITH A MINIMUM OF 4 ATTENDENCES IN THE CLASS ENTERED. If a member is absent from a show whilst representing the club on that day, at a show qualified for, they will be allowed to book into their classes & will be awarded starting points.
Competitors must be full members of LIVERPOOL EQUESTRIAN CLUB before entering any class, to qualify for any qualifying show held, with the exception ofNCPA qualifiers.
All Annual Cups & Trophies presented to the competitors during the season remain the property of the LIVERPOOL EQUESTRIAN CLUB. THEY MUST BE RETURNED TO THE BOOKING IN OFFICE NO LATER THAN THE SEPTEMBER SHOW, otherwise a £25 fine per trophy will be imposed and no further Annual Trophies will be awarded to you,also 10pts will be deducted from each class entered this season. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
